the day and the restless

I am having one of those funny mornings where you tell yourself... remember all you have learnt, the choices you make also determine how you day will end....and how your day ends may determine how tomorrow begins... before you know it, it is a cycle of mood swings and bad breathe

sigh* oh well, get yourself together
I crave my happy place... This I know

I haven't travelled since July, I guess I am itching to up and go. May be a reason for my unhappy restlessness...

come October come, I am looking forward to a get-away time
change of scenary, weather and even people...

So many times, I feel sorry for people who don't travel...they probably feel sorry for me and the times I am itching to be somewhere else other than where I currently am

story of my life...

Ps: how do you pretend for Work's sake to like someone...Jesus I need a lesson and a miracle

Ps again: thankful for a blogspace to rant on...rant on other social media spaces and people be like shrinks of some sort who k…

keep the conversation going

The radio, the medium thru which conversation is on going and visuals are entirely in your head....ever thot of it that way before?

A couple of days ago, I heard on the radio how Arik air has now launched flights from Lagos and Abuja, to Dubai...
Instantly I thot MEDIOCRE! that imo, is the other name for Nigerians or the talents Nigerians have
*shrugs, choose one

Arik air has appalling customer service...many Nigerian companies do...
And this is due to the mentality of 'whatever goes' which we have
Bite me now,

My issue today isn't with the Airline provider, it is with a Bank

Access bank... more Access to 'Mediocre' if you ask me...
I have an issue with the customer service, the Physical and the Over-the-phone service...
Sigh, I have issue with the bank and I am only ranting cause
1. I can
2. So they can change, customer service is a good competitive advantage, sheesh that is no secret.... Every management book has that
Capitalize on this

Currently part reading a book about bra…

hurts and hearts

you know this, i am sad 'bout Oscar
Justice must prevail...
i wish i could turn back the hands of time...
listening to Pass you by - Black Magic ft OritseFemi
no one deserves that their destiny is cut short,
I pray that i grow each day, learning to appreciate life and other people
just because I am different don't mean i am better than you...
i pray i never take my skills and talents for granted - People watch and learn from you daily... You watch and learn from others too
i pray i grow in my understanding of Grace and i pray for you too
i pray for those who lost loved ones in #9Eleven, may they be comforted, may their hearts be filled with Peace
Time doesn't heal, imo, we just learn to adjust with each new day

Ps: God Bless you

where talent is

the art of weaving a basket is an incredible one, well I think so...
bending the rafia bits and all that...
Another thing i think is incredible is talent... Talent discovered and used effectively. Talent adds to man's character, gives man a place in society, allows man to contribute to the community... So many uses...
Robin had a right formula to make people laugh. Remembering Robin, where talent is there is a sense of comfort, in all of these I hope his family is comforted

A lesson learned

the ponderings on life and what it is made up have continued for me in the last couple of days as the different things happen daily...Pleasing the customer in a way that isn't simply 'customer service' but customer appreciation should be the new competitive edge On that note, if you're looking to have a lovely Sunday lunch out somewhere, I will suggest 'The Orchid Bistro' in GRA ikeja Customer service can be taught but customer appreciation is stuff, like charity, person begins that practice at home. At home where family is and friends also help in their little ways. Friends, family.... on this issue I have learned Some family is just about 'blood relatives' and you really don't care for those ones The true friendship bond is a lot thicker than blood Friends turned family are hope-bringers There are frenemies and fenemies... Keep your frenemies close and the fenemies very far from you Frenemies make you strong, fenemies suck out life.... Your call, choose wis…

smell good for a purpose

The world we know is different everyday...
there are wars, political unrests, rumours of wars, famine, motor accidents, diseases with very expensive cures or cures not yet found, pain (lots of it) I shall not dwell on that...
As we are now in a place where worldly happiness is getting expensive...
You have the choice to hope for good things or resign to some there-will-always-be-bad-things-fate
and so today i will be promoting Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners and how they make your hair smell good. Why have I deviated, why do i need such products and what is this girl on about; you ask?
Because
1. You have a purpose - whether you know it or not; whether you like it or not
2. You can only do your part to impact the world 'where you are'
3.  If you don't do your part, you will be substituted...now this is bad
How you look and how you smell affects some of the things you do *shrugs* believe it or not. How your hair smells is part of how you smell. Even the Bible, in…

June and half the year is gone

CloseUp naija herbal toothpaste is not for me. If it good for you please keep buying so I get Unilever dividends  😋✌
Well I never did get to Brazil for this World Cup 😂 but Rio 2016 is another opportunity

Lifetime music musing

....my iPod touch lives, apparently I am one of the few mentally healthy humans with one of those....and with only podcasts and no music
I still read stylist thank God for apps, i get bit of the British vibe, while missing aimless walks in John Lewis' flagship store.
I Love reading the editor, Lisa Smosarki's notes in a not-so-old issue, she wrote
"My music collection is littered with best-of albums and random tracks from my teens. If new music makes it on to my iPhone it’s so popular even my Nana’s singing it – and she knows stuff I don’t.. This lack of musical evolution is my own fault – at some point after turning 29 I stopped going to gigs, got a bit too hooked on Radio 2 and forgot to start discovering new music"
Omg I totally relate, and I am just 29 seems I see what path my lifetime music loving is following...
Today I am listening to David O's Aye back to back thanks to a colleague at work.
Ps: growing up.... is so so still thankful!

Oh well...

I just had to type... Hi blogvilleLong time no post, read... I blame the typing bit. I have had so many, sooooo many posts and titles in my head, heck the typing bit just puts a downer I have moved cities, I have started a full time job, I have completed an MBA degree and I have changed ages *smile* I get to try out new products like CloseUp's new herbal toothpaste with aloe vera (started today, will review in 7 days) what I hate is the sloppy customer service in so many places in Lagos Sweet Sensation's one place and I have learnt a lesson, I don't bother wasting money and good time in that eatery again.  Working is... interesting I deal with the fun, the cool... what i still can't deal with is... the office gossip and those who take things and don't return them And that is why I chose to type today! It has to be addressed, dunno some sort of therapy! Why do you take things from people err you walk up to them, ask to use something of theirs and you just can't return!…
